In early 2014, Finn H. Drude and Stephanie Kiewel were approached by their German hometown St. Georgen about creating a Short Film centered around a devastating fire that destroyed almost the entire town in 1865.

​

Armed with a budget of 3.000€ and a lot of enthusiasm they embarked on a filmmaking journey, that would lead them into a 3 weeks shoot in Germany and 9 months of post production.

​

More than 200 people have worked on a voluntary base on the finished film, which can be purchased online and is currently touring film festivals all over the globe, having won over 15 awards inlcuding the Royal Television Society Award for "Best Student Film" and finishing second at the prestigious "New Designers 2015" in London.

​

For his work as an Editor on "Funkenflug" Finn himself has received awards at the "Director's Chair Film Festival 2016" and the "SOFIES 2016".
